2025 Events & Activities
Trauma Online Training for Youths - Cohort 1
Suburbancares launched the first cohort of its Trauma Online Training for Youths to equip young people with foundational knowledge on trauma, healing, resilience, and community well-being.

Building on the success of the first cohort, Suburbancares implemented a second Trauma Online Training to reach more youths, deepen trauma-informed care awareness, and promote mental health resilience.

Enhancing Student Inclusion & Safety
Suburbancares partnered with the Gender Studies Centre of Federal University Wukari for a stakeholder meeting on student inclusion, safety, and prevention of sexual violence on university campuses.

International Day of the African Child
🌅 Morning Session - Excel Nursery & Primary School, Wukari
Attendance: 1,000 pupils, 30 staff, 4 administrators, 18 volunteers, 2 youth leaders
Child-rights and welfare outreach with educational awareness, motivational talks, hygiene enlightenment, and distribution of pencils and gifts.
🌙 Evening Session - Success Orphanage Home
Attendance: 18 children, 15 volunteers
Psychosocial support, mentoring, and interactive activities.
Prof. Ruth's Inaugural Lecture & Book Launch
Suburbancares youth volunteers supported Prof. Ruth's lecture and book launch, presented her with a gift, and gained hands-on experience in event coordination.
