Our Mission
To reduce the incidence of mental illness in children/youths, eradicate child sexual violence through our training, treatment, and research, and provide healing and justice to survivors
1000 school and youth organization leaders over the past FIVE years have participated in in-person and remote trainings delivered by Suburbancares about child abuse, neglect, trauma and prevention policies.
50 schools with over 7,000 school administrators, teachers, counselors and other employees have completed our Introductory Positive and Adverse Childhood Experiences (PACEs) Awareness Campaign, and Resilience Science Education on child trauma prevention.
Our research-based and evidence-informed curricula is now being evaluated by the South Jersey Institute for Population Health (SJIPH) at Rowan University, New Jersey.
2 Universities – Rowan University, New Jersey an Cheney University Pennsylvania have partnered with SUBURBANCARES on preventing child trauma and other prevention initiatives.
4 states and 1 Country (Sierra Leone) have formally adopted our Trauma Informed Education Campaign, building coalitions, educating parents, training professionals, promoting prevention policies for schools and youth organizations, and influencing legislation to address the problem.
